Missing Buet student's body recovered from Shitalakkhya River
Police recovered the body of a student of (Buet)Bangladesh University of Engineering and
Technology (Buet) from Shitalakkhya River in Narayanganj yesterday (November 7, 2022).
The deceased was identified as Fardin Noor Parash ,age 24, a third-year student of Civil Engineering
department of Buet, said Moniruzzaman, officer-in-Charge of Narayanganj Sadar River Police Station.
A couple of friend of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student Fardin Noor (Parsh) were
interrogated by the police after two days of his disappearance from Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj.
The body was recovered from the river behind Lakshminarayan Cotton Mill on Monday afternoon.

The body recovered from Banani Ghat under Siddhirganj Police Station around 4:30 pm, the OC told our
Narayanganj correspondent.
Fardin, the eldest of the three brothers, lived with his family in Konapara area of Demra in Dhaka.
While talking to this correspondent, the victim’s father Nuruddin Rana said Fardin’s mobile phone was
switched off at 11:30 pm since Friday (November 4, 2022). His last location was in Rampura Police S
tation area.
Fardin’s father also wrote in GD that he later found out that Fardin was going to Rampura in a rickshaw
with one of his girlfriends. Then did not return quickly.
Noor Uddin said that his son had an expensive mobile phone, watch and wallet. None of them were lost.
